Ender’s Game

Ender’s Game is a pinball machine based on the Hugo and Nebula award wining novel Ender’s Game. Stepping up to the machine, you are Ender arriving at Battle School, a six year old who has no clue that the future of mankind is in his hands. Can Ender find the balance needed to succeed, or will he be too compassionate like his sister Valentine or overly aggressive like his brother Peter? Can he find a way to navigate all the challenges of battle school and become the commander the earth needs to defeat the bugger threat? It’s up to you.

Succeeding in battle school will require making friends, defending against foes, and developing skills through training and battles. Making Friends will help you train and lead. Training will make you effective in battles. Winning battles will get you promoted. Fighting will teach you survival. To succeed in any of this, you will need to moves balls in the captive ball balance mechanism to be aggressive, compassionate or perfectly balanced, based on your goals. Incorrectly balanced and success will be hard to achieve and getting way out of balance will present “multiple” challenges. Learning to utilize the spinning disk/cannon/diverter/shot path/target Bank mechanism’s wide range of capabilities will be key to your success, and don’t be surprised if a game of Buggers and Astronauts pops up when you least expect it.

Do well enough in all of these objectives and you might make it to command school, where you will train in hopes of beating the final simulation and becoming the fleet commander, but not all is what it seems.

Ender’s Game is a 3-flipper game and therefore requires a Right Side-Target Flipper Assembly. New P3s come with this flipper assembly pre-installed. P3s built prior to 2022 did not.
